Forklift Operator
Hood Container Corporation is looking for skilled Forklift Operators for our Louisville, KY location
We are offering a $1,000 sign on bonus!
Major Areas of
Responsibilities:
Operation and care of forklift in a safe manner. Must be qualified to properly operate the forklift.
Complete and document a forklift inspection form before start of shift and when operating a new forklift; turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.
Production - Locate stock before start of run; deliver appropriate stock to appropriate machines safely and on time with accurate quantity; remove finished goods from machines.
Shipping - Take finished units off line; inspect finished units; load units onto trailer, or place units in staging area or in proper place in Warehouse, as instructed.
Maintain neat, orderly, and safe stacks of stock in storage areas.
Complete and maintain necessary paperwork and reports in an accurate and timely manner.
Assist other fork lift operators as needed.
Other tasks assigned.

Physical Requirements
Sitting and operating forklift during 85% of the workday; walking, ascending, or descending during 15% of the work day.
Education and/or Experience - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training in a production environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to use a tape measure and other measuring devices.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Education and Experience
Education and/or Experience - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training in a production environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
